QVC village gift bag collection
Concept Development, Illustration, Packaging Design
Each year we sell exclusive Cheryl’s gifts on air for QVC, and one of the biggest time periods for that is Christmas in July. The merchandising team directed me to create a collection of vintage village gift bags for QVC. Each bag needed to have a unique storefront/building, include the Cheryl’s logo, and a “to/from” space.
I started this project by researching Midwestern towns and storefronts, to identify which stores we should include, and what they should look like. We decided to include a toy store, a Christmas store, a bakery, a church, a house and a pet shop. Once we decided which six we would feature, I made sketches of each building. I then watercolor painted each element, and built them in Photoshop. The Village Bags were the first collection that the in-house Cheryl’s creative team created for QVC, and they were very successful.
