Cheryl’s fall 2018 seasonal collection

The Fall line at Cheryl’s is a celebration of the season. It conveys fall splendor and thankfulness for loved ones as Thanksgiving approaches. I was asked to create a line that used fall colors, fall foliage and plaid.

The first step I took when approaching this project was to create a concept board. I began by conducting competitive and trend research for the season. The concept board included direction for the overall theme, a color palette, and pattern, graphic, photo styling, typography and copy direction.

After the concept board was approved, I began sketching ideas and designing the graphics. The final collection was light and airy, inspired by birch trees, acorns, berries and beautiful, rich fall leaves. I digitally painted watercolor leaves and other fall foliage, and paired that with flat graphics, plaid, and hand-drawn lettering. Our customers were excited to share this celebration of the season with their loved ones.
